Looking for a bike... In Oregon, found one today, private seller, 86 650 red, looks Great except for slight salt corrosion on some of the aluminum due to coastal conditions where I live. 4600 miles on this 86, and it's going for 2250. I planned on handing him the money tomorrow, but then I saw this site. Seems like these savages aren't the type of transportation that you can ride 10,000 miles a year on with ease, huh? I mean, I'm used to Kawasaki Ninjas and the like, which easily can hit 50,000 miles with proper tlc. A college student with no other means for transportation, this forum has really frightened me and leads me to wonder if I would even get another couple thousand miles outta that savage before I'm throwing it away. Please let me know what's up with that. Also, is this bike capable and suitable of/for a trip from Portland to Denver?
